From the basic tent to today’s most modern and luxurious RV, Lakewood Camping Resort has the perfect site to fit your needs. We have approximately 1,000 campsites that include oceanfront sites, lakefront sites, open sunny sites, or nice shady sites. We have full hookup sites (20, 30, and 50 amp service), with free Wi-Fi service, a picnic table, water, sewer, and daily on-site trash removal service. No matter which site you choose, you’ll only be a short walk from the ocean! Enjoy the sand between your toes and the ocean breeze along our half-mile of coastline. 

Amenities:

Our amenities are all included with the cost of your campsite rental and we have plenty to keep you busy! Some of our amenities include, a waterpark, lazy river, splash pad, playground, heated indoor pool, sand volleyball, mini-golf, pedal boats, kayaks, canoes, pickleball, cornhole, disc golf, bike rentals and basketball. You can also fish along our numerous ponds! 

Food & Drinks:

With all the fun you’re going to have here, you’re sure to work up an appetite. When it comes time to eat there’s no need to leave the resort! We have several locations to choose from for breakfast, lunch, dinner and for those snacks you’re craving in between! 

From our Trading Post, Beach-Bum Coffee House, The Chicken Joint, The Crazy Mason Express, Trading Post Ice Cream shop and food trucks we have you covered!

Conveniences:

We want you to have as much time to enjoy our park as possible, so that’s why we make your camping chores as easy as possible! Our conveniences include propane refills, a 24-hour laundromat, a dump station and an air pump station.

We also have beautiful Vacation Rentals that include 1, 2, 3, 4 bedrooms. Vacation Rentals also include local phone calls, Spectrum TV (62 channels), linens, and full kitchens with everything you need (except the food and drinks, of course). Golf Cars:

Golf cars are probably the most popular mode of transportation around the resort. Getting around and enjoying Lakewood Camping Resort is easier, and a whole lot more fun with our golf car rentals. Golf cars are a great way for guests (licensed driver, 16 years and older) to tour our almost 300 acres. Golf cars may be rented from Graham Golf Cars on-site facility ONLY. No personal Golf Cars or Rental Golf Cars from outside Lakewood Camping Resort are allowed for camping or vacation rental guests. Location:

Lakewood Camping Resort is located 2 miles south of the Myrtle Beach, South Carolina city limit, just off of Hwy 17 Business, South Kings Hwy. The Grand Strand is an exciting beach community with fun events year- round. From I-95: Take Hwy 501 East to Conway to Hwy 544. Make a right onto Hwy 544. In 14 miles you will come to the intersection of Hwy 544 and Hwy 17 Business. Make a left onto Hwy 17. At the next light Lakewood Camping Resort will be on your right. 

Changing the Way You Camp Since 1959:

Lakewood Camping Resort was the first privately owned campground on the Grand Strand. We have grown to become the best place in Myrtle Beach for families to vacation. Which is why it’s no surprise that we were named the National RV Park of the Year and Best of the Carolinas multiple times. We are also proud to have been awarded the “Plan-It-Green” award for our efforts in being Eco-Friendly. Here at Lakewood Camping Resort, we have always embraced a camping culture that encourages interacting with people, every day, who want to be a part of the journey, not just the destination… It was once said that “everywhere you go becomes a part of you somehow”. Our hope is that Lakewood will become a part of you somehow, and that you’ll take a piece of what you experience here, back with you. But, our bigger hope, is that you’ll leave a small piece of yourselves here with us.
