Welcome to Fort Wilderness RV Park! Located next to Cherokee, North Carolina, our family-friendly facilities include 130 sites on ten acres in the Great Smoky Mountains. Convenient to U.S. 441, and Shoal Creek Road in a quiet and safe residential neighborhood, you’ll find friendship and solitude, with plenty of facilities and amenities to make your Cherokee vacation a memorable one!  Our sites are nicely shaded full Hookups that include WIFI and cable on each site and in our cabins and we are well away from the bustle of Cherokee, yet close enough to enjoy the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, trophy fishing, shopping and dining, Harrah’s Cherokee Casino, Bryson City Smoky Mountain Railroad and many more activities and attractions. Rates: $30-45 per night Directions: From Asheville: Take I-40 West to exit 27, which is Hwy 74 West. From Hwy 74, get off at Exit 74 (Hwy 441), go 1.6 miles, campground is on your left just past the Smoky Mountain Elementary school. It is approximately 45 minutes from I-40 to Cherokee Exit 74. From Atlanta: Via I-85: Take I-85 north to US 441 North. Just past Dillsboro, NC, take Hwy 74 west to Cherokee Exit 74. Go 1.6 miles, campground is on your left just past the Smoky Mountain Elementary school. From Charlotte: On I-85 S. Take US-74 W and I-26 W to US-74 W/Great Smoky Mountains Expy in Clyde. Take exit 27 from I-40 W. Continue on US-74 W/Great Smoky Mountains Expy. Drive to Exit 74. Go 1.6 miles, campground is on your left just past the Smoky Mountain Elementary school. From Raleigh: Take exit 27 from I-40 W. Continue on US-74 W/Great Smoky Mountains Expy. Drive to Exit 74. Go 1.6 miles, campground is on your left just past the Smoky Mountain Elementary school. From Knoxville: Take I-40 east and after crossing the TN/NC border, take exit 27 which is Hwy 74 West. It is approx. 45 miles from I-40 to Cherokee Exit 74. Via US 129, go south and after crossing the TN/NC border, take HWY 28 south. Continue approx. 40 miles to a stop sign, junction with 19/74. Take 74 to exit 74 (Cherokee 441)
